Ezzy 8 meter sail fits on 460 sail!! Wow!!!

Wow! Apparently, an Ezzy Cheetah 8 meter sail will fit on a 460 cm mast. In the past I've used a 490 mast.
I can't wait to try it out!

The "Magic of Mankato Wind"...................

For some unexplained reason, almost everytime that I start looking for wind on different lakes in Minnesota, Iowa, finanlly I look at Mankato area lakes, (And it's BETTER there!). Quite often Clear Lake, IA appears to be the most promising lake for wind....and then look at Mankato at it's the same o...

Actually,.....it looks like the BEST wind will be in the Mankato area! NW wind 15-25 mph with a base wind of 19 mph. This means I can use my
Tabou Rocket 115 liter board,,,"Finnally!"

Wow! I (Quetzalcoatl) set a "New" unwanted record. I did not windsurf a single day in August. that's a first for me, in the last 20 years. I don't like that record. So: I make a Proclamation" that windsportsters shall get out on the water at least once a week (if not twice) for the ne...

"The Legend" (Quetzalcoatl) speaks some words of Wisdom:::

The "Stilling" effect of Climate Change is still upon us. I (Quetzalcoatl, God of Wind and Wisdom) have very little wind to offer, but yes some wisdom. I myself still HAVE NOT windsurfed since the Fourth of July. (That was a good 6.0 meter sailing day). But now Weekend Wind seems to always...

Wow! 10 mph Wind predicted for Lake City, (12 mph for Clear Lake, and Round Lake, Worthington areas). It's Formula time!! This so for Saturday, July, 21, 2021. This is part of the "Stilling" effect as a symptom of Climate change. "Stilling Effect" is something described by the &q...

It been SO long, I forgot how to winsurf....

This is has been a loooooong hiatus. And heck, where's the deal? Last time I got some sailing in was on Fourth of July! Interesting though, yesterday Duluth had warnings out for rough lake conditions, 17 mph wind somehow was making big waves (in rapid sucession) and dangerous for swimmers, (big rip ...

There's wind west of the Missouri River, Chamberain, SD...only six hours driving time on Saturday...

This Saturday there's 10 t0 20 mph wind (15 mph base wind) out west in Chamberlain, SD. (well that's still on the East side of the Missouri River). I'ts about a six hours 30 minutes to get there. Just a thought maybe not worth it. But it's kinda of fun to drive 80 mph legally! But, Hombre, this is a...

Not much wind over the weekend (July 10th-11th). So, while Sir Richard Branson (who is a kiteboarder) spent a billion bucks for a few minutes of weightless at 50 miles above the Earth, I patched up a "dent" in the bottom of my Rocket! That is to say my 115 liter Tabou Rocket (2011 producti...

Hello Windsportsers, Sunday, was windier than expected on Clear Lake of Waseca, MN. Doug W. was already tearing up the lake at close to 30 mph on a 6.5 sail and a Mistral something when I drove by the lake. I clocked him on my car speedomitor as I drove a parrallel Northwest stretch of the road. Win...

If you are Jonesing to Winsurf/kiteboard,, there's some stuff in the air on Sunday. Anylake, pond, reservoir will provide some opportunities for HYDRO-planning in the Southland of Minn. and northern IA. NOT great, but not bad if you have BIG gear. Starting With Waseca and going West there's 17 mph f...

Last night I was cutting up some ropes (or "line" is the more nautical term) and one time I missed the rope, went right across my right index finger made a deep gash with that slash! and not much of a bloody splash! Well at least the finger didn't come off and land on the ground for a crow...

A windsurfer MUST windsurf...whenever possible, even in 13 mph wind you can hydroplane!

Windsurfing requires a windsurfer to keep windsurfing. Even in just 13 mph wind you CAN go Fast! THis DOES require to use a JUMBO sail and a WIDE formula style board. (for example, I'm using my 9.5 or Loft 10.8 Loft sail and 96 cm wide board) NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER Surrender! There's some wind almost ...

Sunday, June 5th, 2021 Eagle Lake, (North side) wind was blowin so good, that I sailed JP 96 liter all ride with 6.0 Ezzy Panther for two hours.
