Tighe
Good point about picking which kite to rig
forgot about the absence of whitecaps and leaves.

Usually there are enough other kiters out
and I just look at other kites in the air.

Maybe it is time to invest in a windmeter

Kite rig vs Windsurf rig ?

Anyone noticed the difference between the types of vehicles used for kiteboarding vs windsurfing ? Windsurfers need a much bigger vehicle. Kiters do not, however.....What about snowkiting ? Do you want a camper van with a heater to warm up with and a stove to make hot chocolate ? I think so. I have ...

Keith Tony

I found it on the map now

This looks like the same place a friend of mine
mentioned from last winter that gives discounts
to kiters.

Will try and make it out for the PASA event

Thanks

Sounds like 12M and 16M like I ride all summer

The 10M and 8M will go in a second bag
just in case I have extra room

I thought since I was learning that smaller
kites would be nicer to get started with.

Anyone agree ? I might be able to borrow
a 3M B3 foil too.

How to get to Georgetown Lake MT ?

Is Georgetown Lake near Butte Montana ? I kited and filmed A&A once this summer at Florence It would be nice to watch them snow kite. From Hood Hood River I go northeast to Spokane and then southeast thru Idaho to Montana ? Looks like 600+ miles (one long day of driving) and a long roundabout. W...

Sauvie Island is a close getaway for Portlanders

East of Portland 30 minutes with west winds and a long
sandy beach.

Watchout for the freighters, they move faster than barges

Hey Tighe, Coach, Paul Thanks for the glowing reports, it will make moving home much easier if I can continue my hobbies. Winters will go much faster if I can kite. Sounds like a few people are good enough to be sponsored. Is there a listing somewhere of all the team riders ? I would like to try sno...

Hey Coach, Yeah, all I wanted to do was move to the Gorge but now that I am jibing, jumping, and riding waves I am looking for more. I think kiting can offer more in terms of water time, air time, and new tricks. My family still lives in Minnesoda, however I was hoping the kite scene would be more o...

Thinking about moving back to MN from the Gorge (new member)

After almost 6 years in Portland, OR I am now thinking about moving back to the Twin Cities where I grew up before I moved away after college. The reason I left in the first place was the shortboarding and waveriding the Gorge offered. (poleboarding) Now that kiting has exploded onto the scene Minne...
