Back in MN and looking for windsurfing gear

I moved to FL 8 years ago and after a few years of realizing windsurfing isn't possible while working full time in Orlando I sold my gear at a steep discount. Now I'm back, I luckily conned my wife to move to Waconia to be closed to the lake, but am short on cash allocable to windsurfing and even sh...

I wish I wouldn't have b****** out. But Waconia's been working me over pretty hard on my 111l board and my arms feel like jelly from a great fall season. Its time to get a smaller board. Hope to get out for one more session on the greatest lake in the metro area. Waconia rules!

I draw a comparison to Mt. Hood. People love that mountain, they use it all year for many purposes. People hike on it all the time. But a hand full of daring adventurers try to get to the summit in the middle of winter. And some of them get stuck, sometimes they die. Its a risk they take, and are re...

For Free: 105l WS board

1995 Seatrend 811 accelerator 105 liters, 273 cm long, nose width 27 cm, mid width 55 cm, tail width 34cm Tuttle box, no fin included There is a catch, I would sell it but I don't think I could get more than $100 for it. And really I don't need $100. So I'll give it away to the right person. This is...

Go with the 161 carve @ scuba center. It will get you up to speed in a hurry and you'll never outgrow it. Pick up a 7.5 Ezzy Infinity and you'll have fun in wind from 10-25. You won't be sorry. Give Larry a call.

Baskin I can't believe you stole that 4.7 right from under my nose. I could have used it today. I showed up at Calhoun at 10ish, by 10:30 it was going off. I had a 6.7 Saber rigged, got blown off the water. Rigged to 5.7, pulled it tight and went back out on my 111. I managed, got the biggest air of...

Seriously consider the Carve 111. It can blast in high wind, float in marginal winds. It would take some finesse to uphaul, but the thing is you can learn to waterstart so easy with. I read a few articles, then went out and did it. Two sessions and I was proficient. One year and at least in my own m...

You don't have to believe in God to enjoy the irony

I rolled up to Lake Byllesby at 3, the sky overcast with occasional sprinkles. The rigging lawn was muddy. I rigged my SB carve 111, 6.7 NP Sabre with a carbon boom. I can't eyeball wind speeds, but it wasn't anything ridiculously hairy. A good amount of rolling, breaking swell. Its my first time at...

theres a paved boat ramp on the west side. It might be impossible with east wind unless the ice is all out. Kiting might be tough under any circumstances. There are two islands just aways out that i assume would cause serious problems, but the lake is only 4 feet deep so you might be able to walk pa...

For what its worth Normandale lake in bloomington was half open today and I'm not sure how long the rest will last. Its sailable with a south wind now. I'll out there the next few days unless a better option opens up.

On Sunday, the St. Croix at Prescott, wi looked like it was about to fully open by the end of this week, but I haven't driven by it since then. It would only work for North winds though.
