Hi:

Where should I go windsurf tomorrow in the SW wind. I live in north Metro area and normally windsurf White Bear Lake, but there is really no good spot on WBL to windsurf from in a SW wind. Where would WBL windsurfers go tomorrow?

There were a few windsurfers and kitesurfers on White Bear Lake too. I arrived after 5 pm and sailed fully powered on 92 l JP FSW and 7.5 m2 Gaastra. After about an hour the wind slowed down, so I switched to 105 l Starboard HyperSonic and 9.0 m2 Naish Noa and sailed fully powered till dark. So nice...

Plans for tomorrow?

I had a 2 hours solo session on White Bear Lake on 83 l Mistral Synchro Fish and 6.5 m2 Nielpryde V8 Streetracer. Beautiful sunny session - still did not need gloves.

Anybody planning to sail White Bear Lake today? What time? I am planning to be there maybe around noon, and would try to avoid being alone.

I was windsurfing in the winter storm last Friday, but on Snail Lake and not on Waconia. My fingers got cold pretty quickly im my neoprene gloves, but when I changed to mittens, they were warm. Please let me know where you are planning to surf tomorrow, Friday. I am planning to go to Bellaire on White Bear Lake around 1 pm. I would like to avoid solo session, so if no one else was going there I would consider going somewhere else. Please let me know where you are going.

Anybody planning to sail today at Ramsey beach at White Bear Lake? I am planning to be there around 1:30 pm but would not like to sail alone.

I ended up at Bellaire on White Bear Lake from 4 to 6 pm. Awesome, although solo, session fully powered on 88 l board and 6.2 m2 sail. I did not even realize today has been the ice out day on WBL.

Anybody windsurfing or kiting today? If so, when and where? I do not want to be out there alone.

Thanks again for responding. It was fun yesterday to windsurf with other windsurfers and kiters around. After my lonely sessions at White Bear Lake I was surprised to see such a crowd at Waconia. I no longer feel alone with my passion to windsurf in this weather.

OMG. And I thought that this site was about positive stoke and energy. Do you guys own stock in companies selling kitesurfing gear that you speak so negatively about windsurfing and try to discourage the guy so much?
