I am curious about the north launch site (not French Park) you show for Medicine. I have sailed Medicine for years, but I have never been aware of anyplace to park by your green pin on the map. It would be great if we had permission to park and rig by that huge lawn at the drug treatment center - ha...

I would also go with the smaller board. For your size and skill level I think the 150L board is kind of big. I'm 6'0" 180-185 lbs and have been windsurfing for about 16 years. I just don't feel a need to go bigger than 130-140L. My biggest rig is a 2004 JP X-Cite Ride 135L with a 2005 Sailworks...

Freeskate ice-surfer questions

I saw some photos on downhaul.com of some guys building their own freeskate ice-surfers a few years ago. I want to whip one up in the next few days. I can figure out most dimensions / materials, but was wondering what type of skateboard trucks you used. Are they anything special? Heavy duty bushings...

Windsurfing rig for ice / packed snow

Somebody asked a while back if anyone had a rig for windsurfing on ice / snow. Here's a link to some pictures of a board I made. Conditions on Medicine Lake last sunday 1-16-2006 were perfect for this thing. Easy to make and gets you out in the winter - Check 'er out: http://home.comcast.net/~barryb...
