Cannon - Monday. Five of us. Where was everyone else? Water was cold, air was warm but it was good with some holes as usual. 5M and smaller sails. I rode my 4.2 all afternoon and eventually went down to my 3.7 and got some rides on that. Hoping for a better year wind-wise. This was a good start!

Missed out yesterday....coming down this afternoon. Looks like it could be good!

Yes - great to see the crew. Most of the usual suspects that show up for a classic Cannon day. Looks like another one is on tap for Oct 1 but I have to stay local. Still good wind state-wide!

White Bear Lake - Bellaire to Mahtomedi were still iced in. Ramsey on the North side is wide open.

Same with http://worldwinds.net at Bird Island Basin just outside Corpus Christi. It's all flat water sailing in the Laguna Madre but they rent current year stuff from some of the top brands. I made a quick day trip down there when I was visiting my parents in Austin TX a few years back. Just showed...

Glad you made the trip. Love Waconia in big W-NW winds. The West Side Boyz are always there and when it's crazy windy and cold the windsurfers usually outnumber the kite crew at the Wac. Regardless, the stoke is the same!

If you can make the drive I suspect there will be a good crew of hard cores out at Waconia. If my schedule works out that's were I'll be.

Anyone thinking of windsurfing Cannon tomorrow? Any word on how "green" it is?

Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph

Did it go late? I got down there early since I had a narrow window of time. Early reading were 20-26 but by 11 a.m. it was 15-20. Not enough for a 4.7. I had to bail around 12:30 and head back to the cities. Got some decent kiting on White Bear so no lemons today, just lemonade!

Looks like it might be nice in the afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Might make the trip.

Not enough time to check out Mille but the Wack should be pretty darn good.

Ice - will be better today down at Wildwood. Straight NW so plenty of power to get out and upwind. There was probably too much West in the wind Sunday which make WW real difficult (and dangerous some days) to get out and upwind.

Epic June out there so far - hope if keeps up in July.

Who's going out there this Summer? I may be able to make it 3rd week of July.
