Any old timers remember Father Jonathan?

The last I saw him, he was posted to East Africa and it turns out that was 20 years ago.

He made his own windsurf board and surfed Calhoun a lot.

Re: Lake Minnetonka video made it out here to NW

A family friend from MN who now lives in Seattle posted the video on Facebook. He sailed Minnetonka and Calhoun as a kid. I don't Kite so I have no boards to sell. I did check Crraig's List a few times after the board was stolen. One reason I posted is because "The Professor" was a familia...

Can you drill an adjustment hole in the paddle piece so it adjusts a little shorter?

Re: Swivel Bindings

I think it would ruin your board for the ski slope. Since you have no kite to pull you through a turn, part of the turning technique is to use your weight and leading knee angle to twist the leading binding.

I watching an in car interview on ESPN. The shot was from the front with both driver and passenger in the shot. They switched to a camera in the back and you can see that the first camera was a dash mounted GoPro.

Amazing story.

I happened to see a link in Google News that they changed the Canadian guidelines for the C in ABC mentioned in the heimlichinstitute.com link above.

There is a new water resistant phone. Also, they used to recommend carrying a whistle so people could know you wanted help and to help locate you.

Learned from Jim Oakes at the Hatchery: Pick up fist sized rock, wrap line around rock a couple of times one way. pass end around line going to the rig and wrap a couple of times the other way, grab rock and pull.

Re: 1988, yesterday, story and insight request

It is very fuzzy. Only a couple of things stand out. I remember the drought being so bad that we actually parked our cars on the dry lake bed of Waconia. I also remember when Bingen Bart had a shop in Bingen and Teran from the Sailboard Warehouse transferred there.
