I have a legend that works pretty well, it wasn't to spendy 180 for the unit and 100 for the maps. The map software really is the key to it though as far as road detail, personaly it fits my needs, I'm still trying to find a way to get it on my mast in some sort of water proof pouch or something, if...

One of the coolest things I've seen since I've started this sport was In about 4ft of water blazing on a solid tack, look down and see a school of blue gill separating away from my board. I'm sure alot of you have experienced it, but I'll remember that sight for along time.

Ok, after 3 years (- ACL replacement) I have gotten my first waterstart. We had a cabin rental on a small lake by alexandria, skeptical, but hopeful still brought my board and sails. The first 3 of 7 days were moderately sailable (enough for a ride here and there). The next one dead. But on Day five...

I grew up in Bayfield so I sail up there quite often. In fact last weekend. The water temp in the bay is cool, I was fine in my 3/5 steamer. By August it is swimmable in board shorts or a shorty. I guess since I had to miss windsurfing this summer because of knee surgery this would be the one. Oh well, here's hoping for a windy September--and I'll be ready just in time.
