If you have two windsurfing booms attach one to each half of the mast. Rotate the booms in opposite directions. It always works for me.

If you decide to ride at Fisherman's Hut (a popular windsurfing spot at the North end of the island) I believe there is some sort of local agreement with the windsurfers. Not sure but I think most people won't kite during certain hours of the day. Check with the local rental shops.
