My second trip out to Washington and it delivered full throttle. (I hope that term is not overused). It describes the wind conditions best on Sunday. It was the best Fathers Day gift I could have received. The family was along for sun and water time. What a great place to swim kids, waist deep and s...

Request Permission for Picture
I have found a picture that I would like to use as office art located on the windsurfing gallery page. From the page it is the 12th picture down (on the left side column) and has trees and a water tower in the background. The rider is also in the middle of a jibe with a red sail, possibly a Gaastra....

Does a 95 liter board have a place in the Midwest?
After my trip to Maui last month riding a 95 liter board and overpowered on a 4.7 sail (35+ mph conditions everyday!!) I really want to downsize some of my gear. Do the serious riders hear believe a 95 liter board is worth the investment living and riding in the Midwest? Or would it be wiser to take...

What would an average cost be to stay in Maui for 7 or 8 days (lodging and food)? I really have no idea. I have been to Aruba twice and that place is really cheap for a warm windsurfing vacation. We have spent an average of about 2K per person on everything for 8 days in Aruba. That included travel,...

Hawaii - Where to go exactly?
I am planning on a trip to Hawaii the last part of February. I have read the two destination descriptions by Sid and Randy (Ohalu and Maui respectively) and I am surprised that Maui is actually "country". Is this really true? I am looking for best place to stay (geographically what island/...

NWS Station Codes
Can someone point me in the direction of the station code list for the NWS?
I am really just looking for our local weather station service code. You know that 4 letter code?
Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Answer to your questions: Do you plan on doing it during the summer at all? ...I think I would like to use it 2-3 times a year mostly on the days when it just isn't windy enough to use my Loft 8.4. I guess that would equal a very large kite though. What would you want to do k...

What is the right kite for a winter novice?
Hey all I am an avid windsurfer and would like to get myself a kite for winter. It would be great to use it as a replacement for a motor powered vehicle when out ice fishing. :) Any suggestions on what brand/size I should be looking at for average use? Also can I just use my current waist harness wi...

Windsurfing and Rental in Boca Raton, FL????
I am travelling for work with some time to spare along the way. Does anyone know where I can get some equipment and approximately what the average conditions are?? From what I've seen it isn't very wavy which is good for a midwestern like myself.
Thanks for any help.
