Greatings from across the pond

Been a while since I was in here since I moved back to Sweden. Just wanted to tease with a great snow kite clip from my part of the world, can't wait for the white stuff coming this year.... Cheers, Uffe (former Des Moines guy, now Stockholm, Sweden guy) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_e...

Hey Steve, do you still want to part with the BIG 08 Frenzy you have? I would love to match that with my 11m for light wind days. Let me know.

Steve, do you still have your 08 BIG Frenzy? I got the 11m but I'm ready to buy the BIG one from you if you would like to sell it. I'm moving back to Sweden in about a month and would like it for this winter there. Shoot me a msg if you would be willing to part with it.

Re: Windsurfer Tuesdays to start on Calhoun

Great Initiative Mike, this would be so fun, I can see where there will be lots of local sailors taking up windsurfing racing agian if they get teased out on Tuesday night racing. What about finding a local company to sponsor a race series with a "dash for cash" weekly race? I will try to ...

Re: Any sail knowledge?

Speaking of the KA sails, I can say nothing but good things about them. I have a 2007 KA Koncept 7.5m sail for sale for $275, (similar to a NP V8 but faster). I used this in Worthington US National's on the two windy days on and I was super happy how fast and stable it was. KA Koncept has some of th...

Re: The MOOOOOOOSE REGATTA!

Remember you do NOT NEED a US passport if you are a US citizen to go to Canada by car, all you need is a bith certificate and a valid form of ID to cross the border and get back in to the US. That's the rule until next summer (July 2009) just wanted to throw this out there so no one uses that as an ...

Formula VS Trimaran. Inexpensive high performance sailing

I follow a windsurfing / kiting forum in Sweden and there has been quite the discussion on how "expensive" the formula equippment is compare to other windsurfing gear. Especially if you are going to have the latest and greatest gear. Well in comparison to what you get performance wise it i...

Re: Worthington

I'll be there Tuesday night after work. Team Iowa should have at least 4-6 showing up.

Start tuning your sails, polish your boards and fins, this is going to be so much fun.

DaveC are you crashing at the Kremer house? I am planning on it, got offered a spot in a room upstairs. :)

Photos and Recap Dam Jam

Im starting to get some awesoem photos and recaps from people who attended the Dam Jam here in Des Moines, IA. Re: Saylorville DAM JAM May 16-18 2008

Wow, this might be the best conditions we could have wished for. Tomorrow, sunny, high of 78, winds 15-25MPH, Saturday forecast, high 80 WINDY , 20-30 MPH, this will be to cool to miss (I know I am bias since I am organizing part of this event but if I was a wind junkie and lived close to Iowa I wou...

Hi Michelle, are you camping with a camper or with a tent? I currently have 3 sites booked, one will be for our "event headquarters", the other extra ones for people who come support the event or haven't gotten a chance to book yet. Larry Low Boom also has two sites, Randy Howell has one, ...

Re: open water in worthington???

I think if enough of us went to worthington this weekend and ran some "hot laps" in the Midwest speed quest windsurfing speed event the ice would melt by the warm friendly stoke it would generate. I am planning on making the trip up from Des Moines, the more the merrier, who can go speed s...
