The blades on any helicopter or multirotor easily have the ability to cut through a canopy or even cut lines when tension applied. I...

Re: Rochester's playground

Awesome photos! I'm defiantly hitting this place up next time I'm in town. Now I'm upset I didn't head over there instead of ride the icy snow here in Winona.

Re: Frozen pump

I used to use silicone spray, but I found it gets dirty quickly. Now I use air tool oil (the stuff used to lube air nail guns) and it performs much better. But I don't know how it holds up in the cold. I haven't had it freeze on me yet.

Re: My personal private kite spot

You might want to check out this spot by lacrosse, WI. I used to canoe here and there's a park. It's on the south side of Lake Onalaska on French Island. Probably a 1/2 hr drive from Winona. Nice point can be rode most directions. Might be weedy. near 3600 Lakeshore Dr La Crosse, WI 54603 http://ma...

My personal private kite spot

I just started water kiteboarding this summer and had to find somewhere close. After searching everywhere I found one that I like. I live in Winona MN so the closest lake is Pepin, which is an hour away. My spot is located here: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=44.227119,-91.905448&hl=en&sll=4...

Re: Lake pepin conditions?

Thanks for posting Jason. I was having troubles finding that page. I joined the group. I can't believe you needed your big board. We headed up north of you to the sand bar point by Frontenac. We had consistent 25mph+ winds. I was a little overpowered on my 10m Switchblade and 146 plasma, but overall...

Re: Lake pepin conditions?

Was there really enough wind today? I was thinking of going but looking at the weather stations they hardly had 6mph average and it looked gusty.

Lake pepin conditions?

Just wondering if anyone knows the conditions of lake pepin? Is the ice safe? Is there enough snow? My buddy and I are thinking of heading up there today.
