Re: Snowboard for kiting
I have a "beater board" to use for nasty conditions, an old Ride that I have ridden for years (have been snowboarding for 15 years). I am using boards less and less on the hills and more on the lakes with kites. This is why I was curious if there were any kiting specific board companies pe...

Snowboard for kiting
Hello All-
Looking at purchasing a new board for the upcoming snow kite season and I was looking for some recommendations on a snowboard that will work well for kiting. I am 6'1'' 195lbs, any help on what type of board / size would be great.
Thanks-
Grant

Good video, met "Fly Surfer Ted" (Guy at minute 7:40) last year down in Hatteras, he came and road for a few days, quite the kiter. Link below is his sweet ride.

Sounds great, looks to be a nice post work option during the week, hopefully this rain stays away and allows for some riding.

Re: The return to Gile WI 1.29.12
Heading to Northern Wisconsin this weekend to ride, hopefully head to the Gile on sat., Any prefered wind directions from that spot? Or is the flowage pretty accessible to get launched no matter direction? If Gile doesn't work out, probably head south towards Arbor Vitae (Minocqua) and hit up Trout ...

If you are looking for a laceup that works well with booties, I recommend the lightwave lace up, works out great with my o'neil booties. And barefoot you feel as if you are on clouds.

Re: Madison, worth the 1.5hr drive?
For ice conditions in Wisconsin I have heard that anything south of Stevens Point is sketchy. Friends over in Milwaukee said the ice is not worth the risk. Northern Wisconsin even has some hit or miss spots with ice conditions.

Re: Traveling with gear
John- We have used the liquid force "golf bags" or dakine "golf bags" with out a problem. Best response to questions is always "water sports equipment". Bubble wrap your board and keep that on the bottom, can usually fit the board and 3 kites on top to help hide the boa...

Amazing kite video, showing culture and wind.
Some of the best shooting this kid has seen.
F.ONE new movie shot on RED in Magadascar last summer.
Antandroy is the combination of kitesurfing, surfing, SUP on one of the most remote spot.
Also an amazing encounter between two peoples.
