I'm heading down this weekend and Saturday looks really good!

I've never kited in Madison before - don't know what is etiquette and where is a good launch.

I'm very comfortable self launching, etc., but don't want to be a kook.

Any advice is appreciated.

I don't think surfboards make great light wind boards.

They are a blast for a bunch of other stuff, but the rails are too soft and the fins have too much drag.

Just my two cents.

I agree, there seems to be more flexibility with feet, sequence of events, etc with (the smaller) kiteboard than a windsurfer.
