Re: Iceboard season

The warm weather and little bit of rain got rid of the snow on Red Sand and Rice Lake. The ice is smooth, but stay south of the island on Rice to avoid the Mississippi flow. I may check out Round lake if the snow holds off Wednesday night.

Red Sand lake near Brainerd, 3 inches of clear ice, earliest start ever. (for me anyway)

Re: Scattered Strong Storms (great aliteration)

Check the CAPE index on windy.com to see how likely thunderstorms are. It has been helpful for me.

Yes, your fin story is hilarious. It goes to show how dumb some people can be.

Drying wetsuit booties

I taped a short piece of pvc pipe to each side of my regular boot dryer to give the damp air an escape path. Now my 5mm split toe booties are toasty dry overnight

Re: How's the snow?

Up here in the Hackensack area the snow is disappearing fast but rideable. I just got back from a fun light wind session on a small lake just north of Backus with a 7.5 Apex 3. Apparent wind ROCKS

Pine Mtn. 16-22 NW until sunset

Nice windsurfing forecast for Pine Mountain (Backus) , I'm gonna close early today, there won't be too many more days like this.

Re: website updates

The Waconia text link works but the one on the map doesn't point to the "lakes" subdirectory.
