I lived in WI over last winter, and used to kitesnowski with razors, which are fast buggy kites. I just got a PL Guerilla 15 meter, and have only had it up 2 times, but so far, I love it! Pretty lifty, very stable, not too fast thru the air, but overall, I think it would rock on snow!! I hear there ...

Hey Scott!! Glad to hear you are still around and going at it!! I picked up a board, and my first water kite will be here this week. I have met a couple people here in AZ, but no-one really stoked about it yet. I will keep trying.... Maybe I can get away for a week and get over to San Padre or somew...

Hello!! fellow AZ kiter? I have been flying power kites for a few years, and recently moved back to the phoenix area. I am just starting to get into kitesurfing, and would really like some tips. Would you mind a noobie tagging along a few times? I have a board, and a largish waterkite on order, shou...

How is the wind looking for Sat? I may try to make the trek from Eau Claire, WI. Is kite island on lake Minnetonka? Where would the meet be, and is there a parking lot close(I dont feel like driving the company car out on a lake, as safe as it prolly is) If I dont make it, be safe and have a blast f...

yea, I remember edging pretty hard, but still couldnt get enough of a hold to get the kite further to the edge of the window to get me upwind. I actually think it is down to a couple factors, such as technique(obviously), surface(lake with patchy snow coverage), and crappy skis..... Maybe practice w...

upwind on skis?

I am a competent buggier, been flying for nearly 2 years. Just started kite snowskiing, and seem to have trouble keeping my ground against the wind. Once every few passes, I can edge enough to make a little progress upwind, but not most of the time. In a buggy, it seems like I can point (go upwind) ...

ice damaging kites?

I am new to flying on frozen lakes. I have read more than a few threads on here about ice damaging LEIs. Is this also a concern with foils? Anyone have any advice so I dont tear up my foils?

Heres looking forward to KITEFREEZE!!!!!

See ya all there!!

I have found a field in WI about 25 minutes No of EC. It looks like a great place, but what I was wondering is: How do you approach the land owner? What points do you stress? If I do ever find a place that is OK for kiting, I will certainly let you all know!!

Thanks, guys!! I just moved to EC, and am not too familiar with the area. I managed to find Cedar lake, a little N from New Richmond, right? Looks easy enough to get there. What side of the lake do you meet at? It looks like there is access to nearly all sides of it. What do you guys fly and ride? T...

Help!! loking for kiters in Eau Claire, WI area?

I have been power kiting buggying, scudding, and jumping for about a year, now. I have not flown with anyone.... EVER!! I love it to bits, but some company would be fun, and safer! I fly razors, and ride a PLComp(buggy). I have some experience, and would love to get together with someone who shares ...
