Day(going) Off!!

Hope to join you Dudes @ d'Bear! Sound like some ideal bump & jump
winds. Now where'd I hide my neoprene fashion acessories? Jim N.
Update: Drove by Mahto, Ramsey & Bellaire...not going off yet...Must have seen "J" off Mahto planing in the gusts.

LENGTH MATTERS

PLEASE DON'T TELL PAM ABOUT THE LENGTH THING...Anyway, Rich was selling some Atomic 201's on the third page of the classifieds. Don't know if they're still available, but check it out. J.N. P.S: Did you see the write -up in the "Crossing" literature? Nice; it mentions that the skier...

Reddy vs. Malmo

I think a south wind hits the embankment at Reddy and stalls the wind flow, but a south sw @ Malmo has no impediments.

Reddy

Just got back. Were on 9's thru 12's around noon, but it faded. Rode the rest of the afternoon on 16's and a 20. Would have preferred Malmo, but it seems that most of the kiters like Reddy better for on-shore, rather than side-on at Malmo. One sailor showed w/ some vintage Horney/Duo gear. He was no...

Malmo moments

Had a great Saturday last week & hoping to repeat it again! Thanks to Carrie, Dianne, Jud, Scotty, Pete,Boomer & Radke for coming up and sharing the fun. Had to ground my 12 mx2 after t-bagging all over the shallows, and switch to sailboarding for some super bump&jump action that only Mi...

WBL Labor Day

Another stellar day on d'Bear!! Had a nice mix of Sailors & Kiters with the usual blend of idiots in power boats, pontoons, & jetskis, but we alll managed to co-exist. Sails ranged from 6.5 to 9.0 w/ kites around 12 to 17. As per normal it was alternatively gusty, holey, dead calm to raging, ...

d'BEAR

LOOKS like some more precip heading for MILLY. Think I'll stick w/ the locals today. Guess that the Island will probably temper the peak gusts
somewhat, but I'm sure enough will get through to make it fun! C U

Patent

Don't these Dudes copyright their designs? Seems like everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. If they're using battens, can cams be far behind? What are those strange white lines along the bottom seams? I'm guessing some kind of receptors for the wireless telekenetic relaunch system. Perhaps astral pr...

Cabrina vs. Globerider

Have been mousing around the net. There's a Globerider distributor in Chicago, but it looks like they haven't released the product yet...Also lists Phillip in S. Padre as a dealer. Nice to know Windwing is joining the fray. Maybe their pricing will be less. Having a hard time swallowing $1750 for a ...

slide on sail. position boom lying flat against mast. tension lines as tight as possible and cleat. when the boom is moved vertical to mast it will lock it in place. Grumpy

Help needed to overcome the "GRUMPIER THAN USUAL" state of mind whenever the wind soothsayers downgrade the forecast. Any suggestions, or comments would be welcome. So far, two strong jolts of caffeine have not remedied the mood, and I've pledged to adhere to legal substances only. J...

GK Dealers?

Anybody sell them around here? I'd like some price comparisons between the Cabi, the Naish, and the GK. I like GK's appoach to the Bar, too. Eliminate the stopper balls, the hard loop, etc. J.N.
