Ummmm...... Sounds silly, but for me I suppose it was my first time making upwind in my buggy... ;-) Then, after a few seasons of fustration, going to Madison on some really smooth clear ice, making upwind without effort, and actually clocked by radar at over 40 mph on a reach using a 3 meter kite.....
