Re: White Bear Report?

I rode Ramsey last Saturday...small little pocket over past the boat launch. Great wind and nice flats downwind of the ice sheet!!!

Re: Calhoun is Open

Please be careful on Calhoun and consider not riding there during the liquid season. It's the best move for the safety of us, bystanders and our relationship with the DNR.

Flow Freeballer

Guys, Have you seen these things yet...interested in your thoughts! http://flow.com/Products/mens-binding/f ... 3M3FRFRBLK My initial thought was that these things were straight up made for snow kiting. After some further thought I am curious if the total lack of a high back would be hard on the top...

Re: ? About snowboarding boots/bindings

Matt,

Do you know much about the K2 Hurrithane bindings with a partial poly urethane high back...seems like these would work well for kiting. I'm going to put them up against some flows and see what I like best.

Dude Matt!

You just dropped some major knowledge on us!!! You just totally described the fatigue I experienced during my first session on a board. Thank for your help!

? About snowboarding boots/bindings

Guys, Had my first sesh on a snowboard today and it was really fun. I need to make some binding adjustments but that shouldn't be a big deal. My questions are as follows... 1. What do you all thing about stiffer vs softer snowboarding boots? 2. My boots also have a slight forward lean to them almost...

Kite pump for < $10

Fellow kiters, This pump is available at Home Depot. I think I paid $7 plus tax for it. It plugs into your cigarette lighter and has about 5-6feet of cable to easily reach outside your car. It is meant to be used as an emergency tire inflator but to me it's a kite pump for dirt cheap!!! Just used it...

The perfect winter or am I a pansy???

I'm not sure I could ask for better wind, ice and snow conditions for a winter season of snow kiting but that being said I have only kited once this winter...ugh!!! Typically my winter sessions exceed my summer session because of the beautifully low resistance of snow and the smoother winter winds. ...

Re: anybody have any experience carrying kiting gear w/U S A

Gary, Here are my travel tips for ALL airlines. Invest in a large travel kite bag, they run $150-175 but they pay for themselves in one trip because most airlines charge $150 to check just your board!!! You can even get bags that say "golf" on the side but are specifically made for kiting ...

Barry,

I agree, I went to school at St. John's and it is nothing but rolling hills in that area. Minni would be worth a shot, it's a big lake and I think it would a really good time to ride!

Wet suit seam glue or repair glue suggestions?

Apparently I have a little too much junk in the trunk and pulled the booty seam apart in my wet suit. Anyone have any suggestions for seam glue for wetsuits? Any tips on the repair process are also welcome.

Thanks,

These foils are sick, I saw damo ride one of these babies in 8mph with a 12m and he was rippin'. It was last fall down in Fort Walton...pretty cool stuff.

solon springs WI

Anyone ever kited the St. Croix Lake in Solon Springs WI? I have looked at it on mapquest and it looks to be about 2500ft wide and winds for this friday look to be developing for almost straight south.

Labor Day weekend...KO, your thoughts?

Guys, Here is what I see as of right now on my unisys app. I see a well developed low over northern MN and NW WI, trailed by a less developed high. There is also a big temperature shift from sunday to monday which is promising! It will definitely be windy in that region on Labor Day Sunday I'm guess...
