Do they just make you pay the normal oversized baggage fee, or impose a penalty and cavity search  Which I think I could live with, but is there any kind of trouble you can get in for lying about what's in your bag...? I'm flying Sun Country...

Traveling with gear

I'm just wondering if anyone has some advice on bringing kiteboarding gear to mexico (Cozumel)... I'm not sure if I should ship it Fed Ex/UPS, or if I should chance bringing it on the plane with a deceiver bag?. I would hate to get caught and have to pay the full oversized/overweight baggage fee. Do...

Re: Anyone tried the LF HIFI

I've got an 09 Hi Fi, but I haven't flown it yet. How I see it is basically: a C-kite with a fifth line, but the fifth line branches off and connects to a wider area of the leading edge, theoretically allowing the kite to tilt forward for depower when the fifth line is tightened resembling the same ...

Re: Ozone vs Slingshot Kite

Slingshot Ranger Kite rocks! It flies in really light wind and has huge depower. The bar and lines that comes with it is very nice. Huge bar throw, below the bar trim, reverse launch strap on rear leader lines, color coded lines, and very user friendly quick release. I've beat the piss out of that k...

Re: Exciting Days

Yeah I made it out yesterday. Wow is a good word. Foolish is also a good word. Pumped up my 7m had a buddy give me a launch on Lake Washington, DRAG. Immediately I was overpowered and began getting dragged down wind. After making little headway, I put my kite right next to the water on the edge of t...

Hey dude, sorry I had already left town for malmo by the time you posted. so yes, Malmo would work. I've been to hunters point as well on a Northwest and it was pretty good for beginner, except alot of rocks and boulders the first 30 feet walking out from shore. Re: Wow!

Jim, it was good meeting with you at the event site. Had I been able to stick around Hood a little longer, I would have tried conning you into a demo with one of those kites. I too received to odd looks, and concerning comments when I rigged my 14 up and headed out to the sandbar. It seems in the go...
