Calling Piotr

Hey Piotr, Hope your nephew was able to learn how to sail on the borrowed gear in Aug/Sept. I'm putting all my gear away for the winter and I'd like to get my windsurfing stuff back and put away. I've tried reaching you on your phone, but no luck. Hopefully, you will see this and call me at work @76...

I also have an 80's alpha board and rig with a 5.0. Also have a prehistoric whaler board with one piece mast and connect extension. It's like 50lbs and unbreakable, but a pain to move. The alpha is also plastic so no worries. The alpha is a inbetween board with daggerboard. Pretty good learner board...

my 2 cents regarding yarga dude. I don't know what the windsurfer said to him after his kite crashed into the windsurfers rig and nearly hitting him and his family....but I would have given him my version of the riot act and I'm sure my guy would of kicked some serious butt....Anything coming close ...

Hope business is going well for you. I hear ya on the heat....It makes everything so much more fun like getting the frozen foods hom...

Hey Jon, I don't know if this old dog could learn all those new tricks.... At 42, my jibing still sucks and I haven't mastered this yet so....since it's taken me 22 years to get this far... Plus, all the cash I've laid out for this sport..... But, never say never. That's one thing I've learned. It d...

Hey Steve, Wondering what this boardhead does in the no wind zone. Well, I tell you chores usually end up at the top of my list of family duties, and then there's biking, canoeing, gardening, oh did I mention the chores..... My 14 year old daughter needs a constant chauffer.... I'm trying to get the...

Wow, that is really different!!!! And a woman at that.... Amazing. Now if I could only get out of work, get the family obligations taken care of, and hit the lake with some wind, my world would rock, tilt and I might need some air to recover from the shock of being out there with no worries and the ...

Yes, Lake George is pretty nice. I grew up by there and the lake has changed a lot over the years especially since it became a regional park back in the early 80's. It used to have a tiny beach with a stand that sold snowcones and candy. I haven't sailboarded Lake George since the 80's. Back then, I...

Thanks a bunch for the visual examples SteveB and Tighe. It really helps me to understand what's happening out there and how to approach when sailing. I appreciate the time you took to explain this. :) I also totally agree with Randy on the 'attitude is everything' approach to sailing and life.... I...

I definitely think this is a healthy discussion. Since I only windsurf, I don't know what the kiter may or may not be capable of. On the water, when I see those lines I just want to get the bleep out of the way. I've got an escape plan if need be--jump off board and hide under sail---- I've heard an...

I wonder how old their "operator" was. I am a skeptic (of the made in China gear) after hearing Dave R. (dr) the former owner of Rushwind sails talk about why he got out of the sail selling business. He said after the sails we no longer made here, he couldn't justify having kids (slave lab...

Hey Carol, I wish I could hit the event and join you, but family duty to DisneyLand calls. I got to go to the Gorge last summer if I promised a family trip this one.... I used to sail Calhoun in the 80's when I lived close by the lake. Most of my hardcore learning was done there. Spent some serious ...

Hey TJ, I don't kite, but they do kite there. Sailed Ramsey last night with a couple kiters and about six poleboarders. Well, our rain has past and the wind has picked back up at bit. Hmmmm.....
