I went skiing out at Crow Hassan last weekend, and it is starting to look pretty good.

Breezy point ice fest

Anyone know the conditions on Pelican lake, is it slushy? Thinking of possibly attending the ice fest this weekend.

Re: Wanted: Terrain Dead or Alive.....

We were able to get into some fun stuff on the west side of Pelican lake by St Michael, last year. We probably need more snow though. We might go out to Pelican Tomorrow afternoon.

Amanda, Adam, and I are planning on going up in the morning. We will have to see if it will be Malmo or the father. Might be camping out in the woods.

Re: Crow-Hassan Park Reserve

I wish I could, but probably can't get out of work early enough to make the hike out and get enough daylight. Will either do Diamond lake or Pelican by St Michael. Pelican is great with the bays, stump fields, few roads, and natural shorelines.

Re: rechargeable pumps

Thanks for the input. I thought I saw the black and decker inflators at the new Salvation army store by Moore lake, but I was wrong. But they do have a few of the rechargeable Colemans for $15. They were in retaped boxes, so I was questioning how long they have been on the shelf. It looked brand new...

rechargeable pumps

Looking to possibly upgrading our electric pump situation. I have seen a few nice ones out there with pressure switches (Dean R). Could someone give me some names and model numbers?

thanks,

Paul

Re: Lake Ice condition

Bill,

We live just south of Rogers by Pheasant acres golf course. We wanted to try a different lake, just for the scenery. We use Diamond lake by Rogers quite a bit for winter kiting.

Re: Lake Ice condition

Yesterday we were out on Fish lake in Maple Grove with skates and today we were out on Diamond lake with skates and an 11m kite. Fish lake was really smooth and Diamond's south end and North West end were smooth, the rest was ride able but not desirable.

Happy Holidays to all

Riding in the dark looking up at the stars beyond your kite, or the kite casting a shadow over you in the moonlight.
