Re: Erik Stone's Kitesurfing Calhoun Apology, as requested

Who wants to make a bet that Erik will show up on Lake Calhoun to kiteboard during the summer? He needs to pet his own ego. Now that he doesn't have a sponsor, and a complete disregard for his own peers, he'll show up. I've seen many times when windsurfers (including my self) have gotten in the way ...

If I want to buy something on the classifieds

First time user here. On the classifieds I cannot reply to a thread. You are not supposed to put phone numbers on here and the person selling it doesn't have any contact info up. How go I get his sail :) ?

Thanks,
Ian

Padre Island Windsurfing

I'm down here visiting family who, just my luck, live here. Had a couple great sessions and learned how to water start. The winds are steady and strong.

Re: is it too cold

I couldn't resist and went windsurfing today. If I had better gloves it would of been a very enjoyable experience. Glad I got out one more time. There were three of us and I didn't venture too far from the shore line. It's all calculated risk right????

Re: Conflcit in the water

I was out there with my son on the dock watching the you guys zip back and forth. On the way back I crossed paths with that "fisherman" as he was prepping to put his boat into the water. The odd part was he made a comment to another fisherman about how great it was that all the sailboats w...

Re: cold water riding gear

I just bought a 4:3 wetsuit that is incredibly warm except for the water that leaks through the back zipper. does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep the water from leaking through the zipper? Also I read about folks putting warming pads on their kidneys to stay out longer. Anyone else tried ...
