I made it out on the bay yesterday and most places had 5 inches of ice with snow bonded and ready to ski on. I did find a place that had 10 inches of ice not sure how that happened.

Safety first
Over flying your lights is dangerous.
Know who else is out use the buddy system when possible.
Front and rear lights on your helmet. Lights on your kite will help other people see you. Do not leave your lines out wind them up when you parked.

The bay is open for kiting 9 - 10 inches of ice and couple inches of snow. Could use a little more snow. I was able to go east shore to west shore with no trouble.
