Re: HOOKY MONDAY?!

I was planning to use the Mahtomedi Beach access to get on the lake around 1:00. It is a good spot for WNW. Snow is too wet for good drifts, but we may get lucky overnight.

Re: What do you do to cross train?

I train & race cyclocross September through December. Just finished a USA Cycling cyclocross National Championship men's masters 45-49 race January 11, 2013. I train & race XC mountain bike, cat 2 spring & summer. I just got my first skate skis this winter and find it challenging and fun...

Mt. Baldy in the Big Horns near Lovell, WY. I took this pic last January. Hook up with Jackson Hole Kiters on Facebook. Great group of riders!

This is Mt. Baldy, in the Big Horn range near Lovell, Wyoming. There was plenty of snow at 9000 feet 2 weeks ago with more on the way. This place is only an hour and a half south of Billing, MT.

Re: Kitefish

I agree with your new approach, Mike. I have grown tired of boards with right angles, myself. I just got the new Slingshot Dialer for the very same reasons. I also have gained 20 pounds in the last year so I rarely ride my 137 x 44 anymore. I don't like big kites so I was hoping to remedy the situat...

Re: Frenzy vs Manta, looking for pros and cons

I'm wondering how much wind is needed to keep the new Manta 15 in the air? Would the overlap between the 12 & 15 be substantial? for climbing terrain I think the difference would be obvious enough.

Re: Herbster Heaven

I can relate to your post. I've been sober for a little over 3 months. I hit a version of "rock bottom" after nearly 20 years of "controlled drinking". My banjo is a little like your horn. I was at a treatment center north of Grand Rapids for a while and sometimes it was hard to ...

Re: Florida kiter on Calhoun

It's a silly ban, anyway. Kite where you want, any time; just be safe and use good judgement. Too many people around, don't launch, or have someone to assist you. I've seen a lot of " senior " kite instuctor/ " safe-kiters " do some stupid things. I have hurt nobody & never i...
