Wind Guru/ or another?
For someone whos eyes glaze over when I read the wind forecast tables. Can anyone tell a layman which wind guru table works the best for the Mpls. area? I've always looked at underground but it seems off by a long shot at times. I know this is subjective. Perhaps someone could recommend another tabl...

HELP...!Posting Pics On Lakawa Website?
Could someone tell me how to post pictures on the classified website? When I try to up-load them I get the warning that the file is too large. Do you have to use an old camera that has less megapixles? I used to cut and paste pictures from the shutterfly website but that no longer works either. I wo...

Re: help rigging 6.5 sailworks retro
I have several Retro Sails. If you want to call me I'll try and help you over the phone. At very least maybe we can narrow down what the problem is.

Posting photos in classifieds?
Can anybody tell me how to attach a picture to my classifieds? My Apple computer says my pics are 62 kb but when I try to upload them to this site Lakawas tells me the files are too big and that it won't allow pictures over approx. 251 kb?
Thank you for any help!

Re: flying Sun Country with kites...
If anybody knows how to get a windsurf board/boom and mast on a plane and keep it under 5 feet in length then I want to know there secret. I didn't know they had fold-up rigs? I brought a 4.8 sail back from Az. last year on Sun Country. It was 6 ft in length. and weighed 7 lbs. (it was a dacron supe...

Re: Harness lines and foot straps - beginner's question
I also have a Nova. I had a lot of trouble getting into the straps on that board until I got a bigger fin. My board came with a stock 40cm fin. That fin never gave me enough lift in most winds to get into the straps. I would also round up wind because as I moved to the ouside strap position my weigh...

Carrying/shipping Windsurf equipment?
I was recently down in the Southwestern part of USA and tried to bring back a sail I had purchased. I called the airlines (Sun Country) and they told me I couldn't check any luggage over 6 ft. long unless it was golf clubs or skies. I ask her about windsurf equipment and she told me that they listed...

I Dig Big!
Fred, I'll give you my two cents worth. I have a 182 (light wind) and a 152 Volume Boards and we are about the same size. I mainly use my 6.5-7.4 and a 9.6 Sails. My 9.6 is my "bread and butter" sail. I use that sail 50% of the time. Why? Because in the Twin Cities area you are going to ge...

Kiter Mike @White Bear!
Mike, I found an O-Zone kiting leash of sorts in my trailor today that belongs to you. Drop me an E-mail (dougdopp@msn.com) or call me at 763-717-0801 and we'll arrange a pick up. I'm going over to 'The House" tomorrow so I could leave it there so you could pick it up.l Doug

Try clamping two booms on each side of the mast joint. Usually two guy's twisting in opposite directions (with the added leverage of the booms) can get them apart. When I rig I run a couple laps of electrical tape over the mast joint so sand doesn't get in there. I've never had a stuck mast since I ...
