Re: LAX or Pepin next weekend?

Kyle There are an active group of us who ride in Lax, the spots here are lake onalaska and south of town in stoddard. Stoddard is good on S, SSW & SW ( favoring SW), Lake Onalaska is good for NW wind. Both spot are good but have issues and are not the best to learn. If you can ride up wind you w...

Re: Cannon or Clear Lake Status?

There is a nice park on the north end of french island with lots of grass but big trees and the good wind to ride (wnw, nw, nnw & sw) require two peolpe or a drift launch. By mid june the weeds are real bad but it's fine now. I ride alone a lot there and drift launch and self land. I ride there ...

Re: Cannon or Clear Lake Status?

Lake Onalaska is all open and has good riding on NW.....sunday looks good and we will be out wind permitting.
It is however a fairly advanced launch....onshore with trees but shallow.

Our area would be an alternative to clear lake.

We ride there a lot in the summer. It is a couple miles wide and 12 miles long....so it has good win...

Re: Slingshot RPM

I just bought a 14 meter RPM and rode it a few times this weekend. Cool kite! Got lots of air on it and am pretty happy with it....have not rode unhooked yet. It is very stable kite compare to the TD2 and switch blades I have been riding.
It also flys in very light wind.
