I was on rice yesterday and on tuesday. Ice is not an issue, it is about 10-14 inches thick. The lake has sketchy bonded snow overall (a combination of bonded snow and bare ice, enough to hold an edge for boarding though.) and slightly better snow conditions along the rim of the lake. Has anyone been up there since the snow fell? Did it slush out or lose ice? Just looking for a conditions report I guess. I'm itching to get out, haven't been riding for a long time now. I'll try to get out after work on Monday, if I get out at a reasonable time. Good luck Dave.

I agree. I haven't seen a launch yet that more experienced riders couldn't leave a little room for those learning.

I had the same problem. But I just left the pic attached and the site resized it when I submitted my post.

Sounds like your getting some good experience. keep up the good work, it won't be long and you will be riding in gusty conditions comfortably. It's good to hear about your success, and that you are progressing safely.

keep your stick on the ice and avoid putting your fingers in places they don't belong.

Don't know much, I have never rode a rail. But, I would suggest angling the ends down to make the transition easier.
