Chatted with Jeff Koeberl today on the phone and he said that Kevin was sitting up for the first time this past weekend. He's got a busted pelvis, hip, leg(?), ribs, and punctured lung... I guess someone broad-sided him after running a red light/stop sign, and the secondary collision with a post, or...

Say a little prayer...

Our friend & fellow wind bro Kevin Gratton was in a car accident on Thanksgiving weekend. Reports from Jeff Koeberl say that he has been banged/busted up pretty bad, but will be okay. Kevin was transported to University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Send some love his way...

I don't know about you, but I saw him at the last event just before I was slammed in the water going 30mph! He had a big ol' smile on his face!

The Crossing is my favorite event. I get to see alot of familiar faces and get amped for the 'big race' of the year. You can do well at other events during the season, but to do well at The Crossing is special... This year for myself was awesome! For about three miles, I was in the top three with 'T...

Here's my 2 cents if we are talking about 'The Crossing': - have everybody start at the same time eliminating the need for keeping track of 20+ individual start times. This can be done by having a giant lemans style start in waist deep water. Wouldn't that be something to see if you were a spectator...

Hey HT,

I'll be on my F O R M U L A up to 20 knots, after that I think Mille Lacs will be a little too lumpy for a 100cm wide board

:P Can't wait1

I'm on for a bet! I'll say the windsurfer's kick butt :P

Steve: light winds(10 knots) you're on dude!!

Hey Tighe, just to clarify the 'invitation' portion is for kiter's only. I know that's what you meant to write, just didn't come across as that.

We will be making the treck to Mille Lacs a with a possy! See ya's on Friday!!

If there's going to be 20 kiters (which would represent 30% of the fleet going by last years windsurfer entrants) at this years Mille Lacs Crossing, maybe some of the kite community can step up to the plate and help out with boats and on/off shore help?

Charts, Shmarts  Since when did anyone let gas mileage come into wind factor? If the wind is blowing, we'll be riding. If there's a "gathering" of wind junkies, we'll be driving. Simple as that. We pay over $4 a gallon here in Canada. You don't see us driving our dog sleds to work bec...

Why not everyone try and bring a friend this year to get the numbers back up? 'The Crossing' is a great way to end the season of another year on the water together. I'm curious about that "secret weapon" for this year Rob! Woodette and I will do the Crossing on a tandem board if conditions...

We should somehow try and get a group shot next year!
