Where do you access the north end of Turtle? I suppose now you could just drive up the lake from the south end launch ramp? I'll probably head out there this afternoon. It's shaping up to be a great day!

Headed out for a night sesh on WBL Tuesday night. Wind was light, but kiteable. Nice night out! I attached a few LEDs to my kite, put on a headlamp, and set up the camera on a tripod. Here's the result:

NW works great on Turtle Lake (South end), but there's more room on WBL, and on Monday there was pretty good snow conditions out there too, about halfway between Mahtomedi and Bellaire. I'll be hitting Mahtomedi tomorrow as well, around noonish the wind forecast is looking nice!

I use a low profile kayaking vest with a DaKine seat harness. Haven't had any problems with the jacket riding up. They seem to work well as a combo.

Went to Turtle Lake today. Super nice and sunny! Turtle works well on a N to NW wind. The beach was empty, and no docks in the water yet, had the lake to myself with a side-onshore wind.
