Re: Diego? Cloud?

Hey Barry, I've posted some feedback on the 13M cloud a few weeks ago here. http://www.lakawa.com/lakawa-chat-f1/strutless-t15188.html. Since that post, I've tried the 13 in super light winds, it works really well (paired with a good light wind board of course). I've been using it with a Paipo-like ...

Re: Blade 17M kite demo

I had the chance to briefly try the Fat Lady/Litewave Wing combo on Saturday. I went out before Tim D. and I think the wind was even lighter, my guess 8-12 mph. I was impressed by the speed and smooth power delivery of the Fat Lady. Couple of times I though it was gonna drop out of the sky but it ne...

Re: Strutless

Thank you Mike, I'll take you up on that. Always fun to try different gear, especially back to back. I've tried my board a couple of times but not on a good light wind day yet.

Re: Strutless

I have the 13M cloud. Had the chance to use it on the snow a couple of times and ~10 times in the water. So far I like it and I'm happy with it. Haven't had the chance to really try the low end but I can see the potential. Compared to my previous kite on that range (13.5 Kahonna v2) the cloud has a ...

Re: light wind boards

The Sector has a lot of fans for its light wind ability and fun factor. It is pricy though and you'll need to get the weed fin set to ride around here. North nugget is another option. I'm working on a strapless light wind board that hopefully will be super fun to ride. If you see me at the beach and...

Re: Check your Slingshot Comp stick bar please

Thanks Geoff, I haven't heard from anyone yet. I called slingshot to see if they have a 20" bar (just the bar, not the lines) but they don't. Hopefully someone will soon realize they have the wrong bar!

Re: Mother is calling us

Conditions were great today! 13m kites and surfboards. I started with a 9m until it got caught on a wave and ripped from the Le to the trailing edge went with the 13 after that. Geo was ripping on the 13 and strapless, he has that thing dialed!. Sky harbor Kept reading ESE but it was straight onshor...

Re: Why Padre?

Had 5 awesome days. 4 with amazing conditions. Jim picked me up at the airport on Thanksgiving day and by 1PM, I was fully powered on a 4.5, windsurfed for 2 hours and moved to a 9M for two hours of kiting. next day the same but cooler but windier! The warmth returned the day after and the south win...

Re: Cedar Kiteboard 2 - buildlog

Bryce, The new specs/shape looks good for a mid-range board, I would even go shorter and a bit wider if anything, but not sure how big you are. Don't know if you have the pads/straps yet but if you're using bolt-on straps, 7.5" seems too wide. I've used slingshot, dakine, north, and some generi...

Re: Forest Lake Open and Ready

Glad you guys got out. I went to the St. Croix and it was a nice 3.5hrs 5.8/86L sesh. wind was gusty in the MN side of the river but a lot better in the other half. Overall a great opener!
