I was out on Calhoun today. I could see some shiny areas out in the middle of the lake that were either puddles due to water coming up through cracks or frozen puddles. I was at the south end, fairly close to shore. I put in a bunch of ice screws to check the ice thickness and I looked at old ice fi...

Calhoun and City Lakes

Any observations on the ice conditions on Calhoun or the other city lakes? I am guessing that the snow isn't really there anyway, but hoping to at least start with reasonable ice thickness.

I took a look at the lake. No snow to really see. Quite a bit of standing water.

Harriet Friday?

Has anyone been to Harriet in the last few days?
Is there any snow on the ice?
I really want to get out, only have a few hours, and have to stay local. I may check it out late morning and give it a shot if it looks OK.
