Field Trips

As great as our riding conditions are here at home, there is nothing like riding a lake for the first time, or riding in warm steady winds, or surf. Exploring new locations and destinations expands your options for this sport. LAKAWA Chat usually has some excursion listed by our community. Here are some trips we've orchestrated in the past:

Lake of the Woods or Rainy Lake Kite Safari
Houseboat luxury, camping, endless riding, fresh fish, kayaking, campfires under the stars.

North Dakota Kite Safari
Lake Sakakawea or Devils Lake
North Dakota's average wind speed is 18mph! We camp at waters edge and ride till we just can't anymore.

Canadian Backcountry Snowkite Expedition
Get away from it all. Leave civilization far behind and explore the solitude of remote spots. Winter camping, Telemark ski trekking, and backcountry snowkiting.

Cabin to Cabin Hopping
Criss Crossing back and forth across some of our states larger lakes like Leech, Lake of the woods, etc. Summer or winter this concept combines the luxuries of a warm fire, hot feasts, soft beds and incredible riding.

For all these trips we arrange everything, so all you do is show up with your gear. We'll have accomodations, food, and plans previously arranged. Lessons would be availble.
