Iowa's Southern Sea is STILL practically ALL liguid Water. With the Air temps in the upper 40's and low 50's, it
will stay that way for a while.
Iowa's Southern Sea is "Lake Rathbun." It's a 23,000 acre "Resevoir" (I can't spell French words) on Which river?

You can see a photo (which updates every five minutes) of it. Just Google (In google box, type in, "Live Web cam on Lake Rathbun, IA."
The problem that there won't be enough wind to justify a 10 hour round trip road ride.

Windsurfing on the Rise (kite boarding and hydrofoiling too!)

Quetzalcoatl out.
