When the wind is up..and the sailors who are just arriving and trying to get ready to sail.,Those of you
who've already been out, please try not to "strike up a conversation." It's just fine to say welcome,,,or "I recommend a 4.5 sail."
But to start talking about past weekend sessions when a sailor is just "trying to get out on the water," can be frustrating. One of 'em did just that.
On Saturday, I had six different sailors come up to me to strike up long talks. The first one said.."Where have you been?" (It was only 12:15 pm) "mid-day"!
That particular sailor went further and ask me if I was "screwing off" (he used other words) at home.. That interaction really "Harshed my mellow." The forecast was good wind all day. Where's the beef?
I had all afternoon to sail and I did! When I have a day off...I don't need to meet any deadlines. At Cannon I sailed a couple hours on a 4.5 sail and a 6.5 sail later in the afternoon for another 1.5 hours. I used three different boards.
Enjoy the long talks with fellow sailors who are off the water resting or packing up to go.
It's not easy being the God of Wind and Wisdom. (But I did bring the wind, even if I came at the late hour of 15 minutes past noon).

Quetzalcoatl out.

Windsurfing on the Rise!

I guess you don't understand my humor Eric regarding self pleasuring. Personally, I'm a chronic offender. Anyway, the jist of my comment was "what the hell man, it's your day off and the wind has already been blowing/nuking for 3+ hours, where ya been!" When I read your posts about limited windsurfing time due to work I'm confused as to the quality sailing time you miss on a consistent basis. Maybe you had other commitments to take care of before getting to the lake, I don't know.

It was a "super sick" morning and afternoon of high wind sailing and I'm glad you did, eventually, get a piece of it.
